Getting my 1st sewing machine

Okay. So I decided that I want to take up sewing. Well I sew my hair bows by hand, but that's completely different from actually using a machine and making clothes. I don't know how to sew, but I really hope I will be able to learn. I love all those cute boutique clothes for little girls and boys. Especially the ruffle pants...they are too cute. Right now I am doing this to make clothes for my daughter and maybe one day i'll make some for other kids. I'm sure it will take me a while to learn how to sew halfway decent. My hubby is buying me the sewing machine for Mother's Day. I'm so excited. Can't wait to get started...even though I have no idea what to do. lol. Anyways i'll keep you posted on my progress as soon as I get started.

Large multi-layer bows

Here are some of my large multi-layer bows. The base and top bows are made with 1 1/2" grosgrain ribbon. They measure 5 1/2"-6" wide and are $6.50 each. They are attached to a french barrett. If you prefer it attached to an alligator clip just let me know. All bows are hand sewn by me. Each layer is hand sewn separately and then all layers are sewn together and ends are heat sealed to prevent fraying. I make all my bows in a smoke-free/pet-free work environment.

*Need a custom bow? Just let me know.

Also have another Tannehill show next weekend on April 17-18. Hopefully it will be sunshine on both days. Last month there were so many people that showed up to that first trade day. Traffic was backed up to the interstate and everyone had to wait two hours to get in. There were lots of people, but not many really buying anything. Think people were finally glad to see the sun come out and just wanted to be outside. But of course it rained on and off all day that Sunday, so just a couple of booths set up that day. Most people just decided to count it as a lost and went home. That's what we did. All in all we did pretty good for one day. Hopefully this time around it will be pretty outside both days. NO RAIN, PLEASE!!!
